Christian Formation

...to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ. Ephesians 4:12-13

Christian Formation is a life-long learning process in which we are gradually transformed into the people God wants us to be. By engaging our minds in learning and thinking we begin to discern God’s desires for our lives.

ESC is a parish that values our lives formed and transformed by our faith, through study, service, giving, dialogue, prayer and worship. The Rev. Julia S. Ashby has oversight of all our Christian Formation programs. Together with two gifted staff members, Debbie Quam and Mary Lou Crifasi, there is a team approach to Christian Formation, an approach that relies on many faithful volunteers dedicated to the up-building of God's people in this place that all, by the grace of God, may fulfill their baptismal covenants. We nurture the formation of our parish through many programs in Adult Education, Youth Ministry and Children's Programs.

Christian Formation programs for all ages are available during Sunday School, 10:20 to 11:20 every Sunday during the school year.
