Enjoy Lemonade on the Lawn every Sunday at 10:20 a.m. Please join us! When we move to our Summer Service Schedule on June 1st, Lemonade on the Lawn will be served following the 10:30 a.m. service. Remember that we can’t enjoy this summer tradition without your help. Preparing and serving lemonade is a great family or small group project. Sign up on the bulletin board in the hallway.

Plan to bring your family, a friend or neighbor to the Eastern Shore Chapel Fellowship Picnic on May 18th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. We will be grilling up free food and service iced tea and lemonade all afternoon. Enjoy games like volleyball, bocce ball, tug-of-war, water balloon toss and many more. Prizes and fun for all ages. If games aren’t your thing, you can come, sit and socialize. Just come out and have fun!

Helping with cooking for the JCOC shelter is a great way to get involved in a hands-on outreach ministry. We’ll be cooking on May 25, September 7 and November 23. We get started at 12:30 in the ESC kitchen, where the meals are prepared. The food is transported to the JCOC and served at 3 p.m. If you would like to get involved, or would like to know more, please contact Betsey Gilliam, 428-5407, or Nancy Best, 437-1543.

Our Summer Sunday service schedule begins on Sunday, June 1st Services will be at 8 & 10:30 a.m. Summer Breakfast kicks off that day as well. Breakfast is served from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m. in the parish hall each Sunday during the summer. Cost is $4 for adults and $2 for children. Remember that breakfast won’t be served without your help! It’s coming back! Vacation Bible School at ESC will return August 4-8 from 5 to 8 p.m. each evening. Mark your calendar and plan for your kids to be a part of the fun. For more information contact Stacey Patrick, 513-5954 or k2x@aol.com.

This year’s Shrine Mont conference, Incarnation in a Virtual World, will be July 20-24. The keynote speaker will be Fr. Matthew Moretz, creator of Fr. Matthew Presents, a video blog on YouTube.com where he dishes out religious and social commentary in humor-wrapped video shorts. Conference cost is $399. This includes room, board and conference registration. Young adults age 35 and under can attend for $200. Scholarships are available. Special Services at ESC

If you love Anglican pageantry and tradition, you won’t want to miss our next Solemn Choral Eucharist at 9 & 11:30 a.m. on Trinity Sunday, May 18th. This is a very dignified service, sung by the rector, with incense. Don’t miss it!
