Summer Children’s Worship Begins June 6

“We are excited to have Haley running a summer series of Children’s Chapel on the first and third Sundays in June, July and August,” says Family Formation Director Patti Glowatsky. “Families can expect the same service we have provided in the past, along with fun take-home crafts and songs for a summer feel.”

7,038 Memorial Flags placed this year

Eastern Shore Chapel continues to honor the war casualties in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Somalia since 9/11 by placing flags on the front lawn of the church from Memorial Day through July 4th of each year. This tradition has continued annually since 2014. We continue to give thanks for the sacrifice and service of our military and their families. Flag memorial video

Bishop Haynes To Visit ESC; Adult Confirmands Welcome

Our diocesan bishop, The Rt. Rev. Susan B. Haynes, will pay her first episcopal visit to Eastern Shore Chapel on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at a service time to be announced. Bishop Haynes will join us to officiate at a Eucharist celebrating the sacrament of Confirmation. A number of ESC youth and their mentors have been preparing for Confirmation for several months.

If you are an adult who is interested in knowing more about Confirmation in your own life, and have not been previously confirmed in the Episcopal Church, please contact Rev. Melody or Fr. Cameron for information about the process leading to Confirmation on July 11.

During May and June, adult confirmands will explore the implications of Confirmation in a series of flexible and convenient conversations with clergy. If you aren’t formally affiliated with the Episcopal Church, please give prayerful consideration to do so this summer.
